Amanda Blair is a columnist for the Australian Women’s Weekly, a Director of The South Australian Housing Trust and Nature Play SA.
She is Patron for The Hutt Street Centre, Time for Kids, The Bedford Group and Foundation shine. She’s the proud creator of Dulcies Shop of Real Opportunity Australia’s first travelling op-shop on wheels which raises money for homeless services. She’s raised over 1 million dollars for charity.
In her previous incarnation as a broadcaster she won a MO Award for Best Live Show in Australia in 2003 and in 2011 and won the St Mary of the Cross MacKillop Award for outstanding contribution to the Media. She also spent many years with her fingers poised over her keyboard bashing out opinion columns for News Corp. She has a husband, 4 school aged children and most days thinks she likes her dog Eric more than any of them. She spends more time in her Tarago than she does in bed.
