Bill Boylan has been in education for 36 years in the capacity of teacher, curriculum improvement officer, deputy principal and principal. He has worked in a range of country and metropolitan schools in Western Australia. He is currently the principal of Tapping Primary School in the northern suburbs of Perth.
Tapping Primary School opened in 2007. As foundation principal Bill was in a unique position to establish the purpose and ethos of the school around a strong commitment to the development of students social and emotional wellbeing and the cultivating of strong connections to the community.
Tapping Primary School is a lighthouse school for the implementation of the “Play is the Way” methodology and attracts educators from around Australia and New Zealand who want to learn more about behaviour education and self-management
