Take some time out during the conference! We encourage all delegates to join one of our self-care tours below. These group wellness experiences include dedicated coach transit budgeted into your package. Places are strictly limited and depend on minimum numbers to run.

CBR Glass Works

  • Treetops Adventure
    • The Experience: Ready to shake off the brain fog and push your limits? Tap into your adventurous side with this thrilling, high-energy physical challenge set among the beautiful Majura Pines. Navigate an exhilarating ropes course that is guaranteed to clear your mind, refresh your focus, and provide an unforgettable team-building experience with fellow delegates.
    • Price: $80 per person.
    • Capacity: Min 10 / Max 20 participants.

CBR Glass Works

  • Mount Majura Vineyard Tasting 
    • The Experience: Unwind, slow down, and soak in the serene vineyard views during an exclusive “Winemakers Choice Tasting”. This intimate setting offers the perfect opportunity to taste exceptional local wines, chat with the experts, and network casually with fellow APPA delegates in a relaxed, boutique atmosphere.
    • Price: $50 per person.
    • Capacity: 10 participants per wine tasting

CBR Glass Works

  • Canberra Glassworks Tour & Tilemaking Experience 
    • The Experience: Tap into your creative side and step inside the heat of a live, world-class glass studio. Your experience begins with an exclusive 30-minute insider tour of the art gallery and studio space, followed by a immersive 60-minute hands-on glass tilemaking workshop where you can design your very own unique keepsake.
    • Price: $80 per person.
    • Capacity: Min 15 / Max 40 participants.

Your wellbeing matters, and we understand that sometimes the best way to recharge is on your own terms.  

If you prefer not to join the official scheduled tours, we encourage you to take advantage of Canberra’s beautiful independent attractions. From scenic lakeside bike paths to peaceful forest walks, these self-guided recommendations give you total flexibility to relax whenever your schedule allows. 

These activities are completely independent and flexible.  

Two4One Gallery Experience

  • About the Activity: A bespoke, mindful program focused on wellbeing and art as therapy. Take a self-guided walk through two of Australia’s premier cultural institutions situated right next to each other. 
  • Cost: FREE. Bookings are essential via the Registration Portal
  • Duration: Allow 2–3 hours in total. 
  • How to Get There: Located on King Edward Terrace, Parkes. It is an 8-minute drive or a scenic 38-minute walk from the CBD. If taking a rideshare or taxi, use the drop-off zone directly in front of the National Portrait Gallery (NPG) building. 
  • Website: National Portrait Gallery & National Gallery of Australia. 

The National Arboretum Canberra

  • About the Activity: Immerse yourself in nature to clear your mind between busy sessions. Enjoy beautiful forest themed walks or a peaceful 1-hour guided forest walk. 
  • Cost: FREE. 
  • Duration: Flexible (1+ hours). 
  • How to Get There: Located on Forest Drive, Molonglo Valley (6 km / 10-minute drive from the CBD). Parking and drop-off zones are available right next to the main Visitor Centre.

Lake Burley Griffin Foreshore Circuit

  • About the Activity: Enjoy an active recovery session along the flat, scenic footpaths of the southside National Triangle. You can easily hire a local Lime e-bike or e-scooter and stop at vibrant lakeside cafes along the route. 
  • Cost: Free to walk / Pay-per-use fee for Lime bike/scooter hire. 
  • Duration: Flexible. 
  • How to Get There: Just a 5-minute drive or a 30-minute walk from the CBD. Ideal taxi/rideshare drop-off points are at the National Library of Australia or Commonwealth Place (Questacon). 

The Floating Sauna

  • About the Activity: Experience premium contrast therapy across two stunning wood-fired sauna huts floating directly on the lake. Note: This experience is highly exclusive and strictly capped at 12 total participants, so booking early is highly recommended!  
  • Cost / Options: Shared (max 6 people) or private sessions available. 
  • How to Get There: Located at 35 Alexandrina Drive, Yarralumla (10-minute drive from the CBD). There is a public carpark in close proximity for easy drop-off and pick-up.
