The members of each of our State Primary Principals’ Associations in South Australia invite you to join us in Adelaide in September 2019 for the Australian Primary Principals Association (APPA) National Conference. The key focus of our learning will be on how collaboration, connection and community can support us to both lead in new ways and strengthen our current ways of working. How can this theme support us to lead our school communities and networks of schools to ensure every learner receives a world class education?
The program will offer the opportunity to come together to experience innovative practice based on contemporary educational thinking. Our goal is that together we will grow our knowledge, connections and support to build an even stronger and more vibrant community of primary school leaders. Leaders that make a difference in their community, undertake intentional work with a commitment to children’s wellbeing, growth and achievement.
The 2019 APPA Conference will bring together principals and leaders from across Australia representing Government, Catholic and Independent sectors.
We will also have an opportunity to connect with our international community, as we experience the unique flavours and sounds of Adelaide, South Australia.

Full Registration includes: attendance at all conference sessions from access to the exhibition hall, catering, welcome reception ticket, conference dinner ticket and access to exclusive conference materials.
Day Registration includes: attendance at all conference sessions on the nominated day(s) of attendance, access to the exhibition hall and catering for the nominated day(s) of attendance.
Payment must accompany all registrations and may be made by:
Credit card: Debits to your credit card will appear as ‘All Occasions Management’ on your statement.
Please note that payments via credit card will incur a merchant fee of 1.25% for MasterCard, 1.65% Visa, 2% for American Express or 3.45% for Diners.
Payment of early bird registration fees are required by the early bird cut-off date to qualify for the rate. After the early bird due date, all unpaid early bird registrations will automatically roll over and the delegates will be charged at the regular rate. Admission to the Conference and all social functions may be refused if payment has not been received.
Any changes to registrations will need to be emailed to All Occasions Group at conference@aomevents.com
Registration cancellations must be sent in writing, faxed or emailed, to All Occasions Group.
Registration cancellations received up to 30 days prior to the conference will receive a full refund, less a $120.00 handling fee.
Registration cancellations received less than 30 days and up to 7 days prior to the conference will receive a 50% refund.
No refunds will be given for registration cancellations received within 7 days of the conference; however a substitute delegate may be nominated.
Refunds from any deposits forwarded to hotels, tour companies or other related business will be at the discretion of the supplier.
By completing and submitting the registration form, you are indicating your intention to attend the Conference and you will be liable for a cancellation fee if you are unable to attend. All registration related cancellations and amendments must be sent in writing to conference@aomevents.com.
In the event of industrial disruptions or natural disasters the conference organising committee, associated organisations & individuals, and All Occasions Group cannot accept responsibility for any financial or other losses incurred by the delegates. Nor can the conference organising committee, associated organisations & individuals, and All Occasions Group take responsibility for injury or damage to persons or property occurring during the conference. All insurance including medical cover and for expenses incurred in the event of the cancellation of the conference is the individual delegate’s responsibility. The policy should include loss of fees/deposits through cancellation of your participation in the conference, or through the cancellation of the conference itself, loss of airfares for any reason, medical expenses, loss or damage to personal property, additional expenses and repatriation should travel arrangements have to be altered. The conference secretariat will take no responsibility for any participant failing to insure.
InterContinental Adelaide
Earlybird rates are available until 90 days prior to arrival. This rate requires full prepayment and the booking is non-refundable. For non earlybird rooms, any rooms cancelled within 30 days of arrival will be charged a one night’s cancellation fee. Any rooms cancelled within 7 days prior to the arrival date, or early departures or no-shows will incur a cancellation fee equivalent to 100% to the total amount of the confirmed room nights.

If guests cancels accommodation booking within 7 days of arrival an 100% cancellation fee will apply

If guests cancels accommodation booking between 30-14 days prior to arrival, cancellation fee equal to 1 night to every confirmed booking will apply.

DESTINATION ADELAIDE

Adelaide is South Australia’s cosmopolitan coastal capital. The Australian Primary Principals Association (APPA) is the peak national professional body representing 7,000+ primary school principals in Government, Catholic and Independent schools. APPA was formed in 1974 and is made up of the state and territory primary principals’ associations in each state and territory. Australia has 8 states and territories with three education sectors Government, Catholic and Independent.
Every year principals and primary school leaders from all sectors, from every state and territory attend the APPA conference. This national conference is the premier event on the calendar for principals’ professional learning. Attending the conference, leaders will experience collegiality and networking with primary school leaders on a national scale.
